Startup Documentary for Share

Over 600 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa have no internet access. For those who do, connectivity costs consume roughly 30% of their monthly income. Share is looking to half that by building out a next-gen wired and wireless Internet network and all-in-one platform for local network operators, giving them the tools and capital to own and scale their own networks on top of Share. This documentary follows co-founders Jose and Luis Aycart and Omar Pederzoli as they build wireless infrastructure in one of the world's most underserved markets. Since filming, Share has launched its network to tens of thousands of paying customers across East Africa, driving millions in annual recurring revenue. The team has grown to over 20 people and raised a $3M seed round from Greenfield Capital.

Our 4-person crew spent 10 days embedded with the Share team across multiple cities and countries. The production spanned conference stages in Mombasa and Zanzibar, local schools in the Kisauni and Nyali prefects, Share's planned deployment sites across Kenya, many conversations in our transport vans, and the unscripted moments in between.
